Newfeld earns faculty promotion at Albright College

Reading, PA (02/15/2023) — Daria Newfeld, Ph.D., Allentown, Pa., has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor of Finance at Albright College.

Earning her bachelor's degree and a Master of Business Administration from Rider University, Newfeld went on to complete her doctorate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She joined the Albright College faculty in 2016.

While teaching courses in financial management, money and banking, and investments at Albright, Newfield's research has focused on behavioral finance and pedagogy of finance as a distinct instructional discipline.

She is an active participant in peer-reviewed journals, serving as both a writer and peer-reviewer. Five of her pieces have been printed over the last four years, including pieces in the Journal of Personal Finance and the Journal of Economics and Financial Education. She has presented thoughtful and provocative work to a variety of audiences that includes financial topics related to the Jewish community, ethics and disability issues. Newfeld has also served on several faculty committees at the college, including the Enrollment Management Committee, Institutional Review Board and the Educational Policy Council.
